Arjen Robben, a former Bayern Munich star, remains involved in sports after retiring from football. He has chosen to pursue professional padel tennis, as reported by Sportowe Fakty.
Robben made his professional debut at the CUPRA FIP Tour, winning his first match in the qualifying round of the FIP Bronze tournament in Westerbork.
Partnering with Werner Lootsma, Robben won their qualifying match in three sets against Ralf Bokema and Mark Veldmeijer. This victory advanced them to the main round, where they lost to Sten Richters and Thijs Roper, with a score of 1-6, 0-6.
Robben is so dedicated to padel tennis that he has even created a court in his backyard. He stated that he plays without major expectations but greatly enjoys his time on the court.
During his 10 years at Bayern, from 2009 to 2019, Robben won the Bundesliga eight times and lifted the Champions League trophy in 2013.
