Arsenal advanced to the League Cup final after defeating Chelsea 4-2 on aggregate at the Emirates Stadium on Tuesday night.
Kai Havertz found the net during added time as Chelsea pushed for a winner.
This marks Arsenal’s first final appearance since winning the FA Cup under Mikel Arteta in 2020.
The Arsenal manager stated that the team will celebrate this achievement as they prepare to face either Manchester City or Newcastle United at Wembley on March 22.
Mikel Arteta: Arsenal ‘have been waiting years’ for a cup final
“Did I enjoy it? Very much, especially at the end,” Arteta told ITV1 after the match.
“We knew it was going to be a real battle out there. That resilience and clarity about the game we needed to play… we executed it well.
“There was a special atmosphere in our stadium. It makes a big difference. We’ve been waiting a few years to reach this point, and we’re going to enjoy it.”
