Mikel Arteta has acknowledged that Arsenal is reflecting on their performance after last week’s loss to Manchester United.

Arsenal’s title challenge took a hit with a 3-2 defeat to Manchester United at the Emirates. This marked their first home loss of the season and reduced their Premier League lead to just four points.

Currently, Arsenal has gone three games without a win in the Premier League as they prepare to face Leeds United this weekend.

In a press briefing, Arteta mentioned that his team is introspective as they look to recover.

“After a loss, you feel a lot of things. This group is very competitive and strives for excellence. When that doesn’t happen, you start to question yourselves.

“My job is to maintain optimism while being realistic about our situation. Our club has a rich history, and it’s rare to find ourselves in this position in February. We are doing many things well, so let’s concentrate on that.”

Arteta also updated the squad news, confirming that William Saliba and Jurrien Timber are fit for the match against Leeds.

They’re fine. They’ve logged a lot of minutes. It was a great chance (against Kairat in the Champions League on Wednesday) to rest them.”
