10. Bodo/Glimt 🆕
Last week: N/A
Bodo/Glimt has made headlines after an impressive 3-1 victory against Inter Milan at home in the UEFA Champions League play-offs. This win might seem surprising, given the club’s location in the Arctic Circle, but they have proven themselves as a strong team.
Having just missed out on the Eliteserien title last November by one point, Glimt has also managed draws against Borussia Dortmund and wins over Manchester City and Atletico Madrid recently.
9. Chelsea 🆕
Last week: N/A
Chelsea is on a roll under coach Liam Rosenior, winning nine matches with their only loss in the League Cup semi-finals against Arsenal. They currently lead the Premier League in expected goals.
Although they have faced relatively easy opponents, their upcoming matches against Burnley, Arsenal, Aston Villa, and Newcastle will really test their abilities.
8. Inter Milan ↔️
Last week: 8th
After a significant 3-2 win over rival Juventus, Inter faced a surprise loss to Bodo/Glimt in the Champions League. They are at the top of Serie A but could risk an early exit from Europe, having reached the final last year. They must recover at the San Siro next week.
7. Barcelona ⬇️
Barcelona had a tough week, suffering a 4-0 defeat to Atletico Madrid in the Copa Del Rey semi-finals and losing the La Liga top spot after a 2-1 loss to Girona.
A shift in strategy may be necessary for the team under Hansi Flick.
