Arsenal will face Brighton at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday, aiming to maintain their title push.
Mikel Arteta’s team currently leads the league and has just qualified for the EFL Cup semi-finals. However, injuries are starting to pile up during this busy festive period. Despite their challenging history against Brighton at home, the Gunners have won their last five league matches at the Emirates. Arteta hopes his key players can break through a solid Brighton defense to secure three important points.
Mikel Arteta is expected to bring back his top players after rotating the squad for the match against Crystal Palace. Key players like Martin Ødegaard, Declan Rice, Bukayo Saka, and Viktor Gyökeres are likely to return to the starting eleven. In goal, David Raya is set to make his 150th Premier League appearance.
Injuries are impacting the Gunners’ defense. Ben White and Gabriel Magalhães are ruled out, and Piero Hincapié is doubtful. Thus, Riccardo Calafiori and William Saliba will likely lead the defense, with young Myles Lewis-Skelly possibly starting at left-back. Gabriel Martinelli, who picked up a knock in midweek, is expected to recover in time to start on the left wing.
Arsenal predicted XI: Raya; Timber, Saliba, Calafiori, Lewis-Skelly; Zubimendi, Rice, Ødegaard; Saka, Gyökeres, Martinelli
The Premier League match is set for Saturday, 27 December 2025, at the Emirates Stadium, with kick-off scheduled for 3:00 p.m. GMT.
This match will not be shown live in the UK due to the 3:00 p.m. blackout on Saturdays. Highlights will be available on BBC’s Match of the Day.
