Emiliano Buendia, who came on as a substitute for Cash in the 87th minute, scored in the 90+5th minute with a precise assist from Boubacar Kamara.
With this victory, Aston Villa has moved to second place, only 3 points behind Arsenal. Arsenal has 33 points, and Aston Villa has 30 points.
