Mikel Arteta has stated that Martin Zubimendi has gained the respect of everyone at Arsenal following an impressive start to his career with the club.
Zubimendi quickly adjusted after his £51m transfer from Real Sociedad this summer, scoring the decisive goal in Arsenal’s 3-2 victory over Chelsea in the Carabao Cup semi-finals.
The Spain international has played a vital role in Arsenal’s ongoing competitions. Arteta’s team is still active in both domestic cups and is leading in the Premier League and Champions League.
Before the upcoming match against Nottingham Forest at the City Ground tomorrow evening, Arteta praised the new signing.
“I’m really pleased with how he’s settled in. When you speak to any staff member or player about him, they all have a smile and positive comments,” he said.
“He’s earned everyone’s respect quickly, including the supporters. He’s humble, focused, and consistently performs well. Moreover, he’s surprised many with his ability to contribute offensively.”
