Arthur Zwane happy for Chiefs youngsters
Former Kaizer Chiefs coach Arthur Zwane expressed pride after his AmaZulu team faced a Chiefs squad that included his former players.
Shabalala (21) and Ngcobo (25) were coached by Zwane in the reserve team and later played in the Betway Premiership. Both started in Wednesday’s 1-1 draw before being substituted for Gaston Sirino and Thabo Cele in the 78th minute.
“They have grown,” Zwane told reporters after the match. “It’s great to see players like Mduduzi Shabalala and Mshini (Nkosingiphile Ngcobo) on the field. Mshini displayed his talent.”

“These players are products of Kaizer Chiefs, and their play will ultimately benefit not just them but the entire team, along with many others from development,” concluded the Chiefs legend.
The next match for Amakhosi is against Stellenbosch FC in the Carling Knockout last 16. The game is scheduled for Sunday, 4 October, at 15:00 at the DHL Stadium.
