This Superclásico follows their recent match in the national championship on August 31st, where Colo-Colo won 1-0. This victory should give the team a confidence boost for the upcoming match.

This match presents a real chance for Colo-Colo to win a trophy this season since they are out of the league title race and have been eliminated from the Copa Libertadores.
