Following a heavy defeat in the Champions League against Arsenal, Atletico Madrid has made a strong comeback in La Liga with a key 2-0 away victory over Real Betis. Diego Simeone’s team overcame the disappointment of a 4-0 loss in London to deliver a solid performance at the Estadio de la Cartuja. This result is significant as it marks their first away win of the season and their second clean sheet in the last nine games.

The visiting team, Atletico Madrid, started strongly and took an early lead in the third minute. The goal was scored by Giuliano Simeone, who finished accurately from the edge of the penalty box. This was his third goal of the season. Just before halftime, new signing Alex Baena doubled the lead with a fine curling shot, marking his first goal for the club. In the second half, Real Betis tried to get back into the game, with Abde Ezzalzouli hitting the crossbar from a free kick. However, Atletico’s defense, led by Jan Oblak, stood firm to maintain their lead.
This victory has lifted Atletico Madrid to fourth place in the La Liga table.
