Sociedad Deportiva Aucas has completed a loan deal for young striker Cristopher Zambrano to Saudi Arabian club Al Taawon, according to journalist César Luis Merlo. The loan will last until December and includes an option to buy 80% of the player’s rights for $1.2 million.
Zambrano, who came through the Aucas academy and made his senior debut in 2024, will bring in $200,000 from the loan fee. He is seen as one of the club’s top young prospects and has attracted attention beyond Ecuador.
This transfer places Zambrano in the Saudi Pro League, which has gained significant visibility due to several high-profile signings. For Aucas, this deal offers immediate financial support and a chance for a substantial future transfer if Al Taawon decides to buy him.
