Austin FC has signed midfielder Dani Pereira to a contract extension until the 2027-28 season.
Pereira, selected as the first overall pick in the 2021 MLS SuperDraft, also has an option for the 2028-29 season.
The 25-year-old Venezuelan player has recorded six goals and 21 assists in 156 matches since joining the team in 2021.
“Austin has become home for me and my family. This team and city mean a lot to me, and I’m very grateful to sign a new contract to extend my time here,” Pereira stated.
On the international stage, Pereira has earned eight caps for Venezuela, including participation in a FIFA World Cup qualifier in September 2024.
