The Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris hosted the Ballon d’Or ceremony once again. Thirty players were nominated for the award, but only one would win the top honor.
The event started at 20:00 CET, with Dutch football legend Ruud Gullit and UK commentator Kate Scott as hosts.
