Barcelona Faces Ongoing Challenges in Registering Players

Footem.in – Barcelona’s financial situation continues to pose challenges for the club. The Catalan team is struggling with the salary cap set by La Liga, which affects the registration of all their new players.

According to Jijantes, despite a few player departures and sales during the summer transfer window, the salary margin available is still insufficient for smooth registrations.

As a result, Barcelona is prepared to utilize a small guarantee that will enable them to proceed with the registration process for players.

This move will allow them to officially register second-choice goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny, defender Gerard Martin, and newly signed winger Roony Bardghji.

By taking this step, Barcelona can avoid a last-minute rush in the transfer window or relying on additional income sources, such as VIP seat sales.

Many are hopeful that with Inaki Pena’s transfer to Elche, Szczesny will be able to be officially registered without delay. However, as it stands, the numbers still do not add up.

The Polish international must still wait before being included in the Blaugrana squad for the start of the season.

What About Martin and Bardghji?

The case of Gerard Martin is particularly urgent. The defender recently signed a new contract lasting until 2028, but since he is over 23 years old, he cannot be registered with Barça Atletic according to La Liga regulations.

Martin must secure a spot in the main team, prompting Barcelona to act quickly for his registration.

As for Bardghji, the club wants to ensure that their new player joins the first team without delay.

Registering the former FC Copenhagen player with the reserves could create complications with La Liga, especially given the strict approach taken by president Javier Tebas.

For months, Barcelona has been deliberating on whether Joan Laporta and the board should issue guarantees to finalize these registrations.

Now, it seems that plans will soon be put into action, allowing the club to move forward without further holdups.

Even with recent player sales, the financial margin remains insufficient to immediately register Szczęsny, Martin, and Bardghji without this solution.
