Financial difficulties continue to plague FC Barcelona as the club seeks to address urgent funding needs for a major renovation project. According to reports from MARCA, the club’s budget has suffered a severe blow, leaving it unable to secure the necessary finances to complete the ongoing renovations of the Spotify Camp Nou.

Blaugrana president Joan Laporta has reached out to club members with an urgent request to extend a substantial €1.4 billion loan in order to advance the project. The renovation of the iconic stadium, originally scheduled for completion by 2027, now faces potential delays due to recent financial setbacks.

As part of their plans, Barcelona aims to resume hosting matches at Camp Nou starting in November 2025. However, the club’s financial state casts uncertainty over the project’s timeline.
