Barcelona faced Olympiacos in the third round of the UEFA Champions League and won decisively with a score of 6-1. This marked the team’s highest goal tally against an opponent in quite some time.

Details: As reported by Opta, this is the first instance since 2017 that Barcelona has netted six goals in a single UEFA Champions League match.

The last occurrence was during the Round of 16 against PSG, where Barcelona famously came back to win 6-1 and moved on to the quarterfinals.

Lamine Yamal made history again by becoming the second youngest player to score from the penalty spot in the Champions League, achieving this during the match against Olympiacos with Barcelona’s third goal.
