Though it’s only August, Bayer’s management is already unhappy with the team’s performance and is considering letting go of head coach Erik ten Hag.

Details: As reported by Florian Plettenberg, Bayer Leverkusen is evaluating the option of parting ways with the Dutch coach. The club’s leadership is dissatisfied with recent developments and is looking for the best way forward.

The coach wishes to stay and is requesting more time to properly manage the team’s changes, especially since his contract extends until June 2027.

So far, under ten Hag, Bayer has had mixed results—winning against Großaspach in the German Cup (4-0), losing to Hoffenheim (1-2), and drawing with Werder (3-3).
