Bayern Munich will not pursue Chelsea target Jeremy Jacquet this month but may consider him in the summer if he is still available.

The German champions have been linked with Jacquet, who plays for Rennes, alongside Chelsea and Liverpool, both of which have shown interest in the defender.

Chelsea has been negotiating with Rennes but is hesitant to meet the asking price of around £55 million. Nonetheless, they remain optimistic about finalizing a deal before the transfer deadline on Monday.

The situation is favorable for Chelsea, as Bayern has no plans to approach Jacquet in the next few days, and there have been no discussions between Bayern and the player’s representatives.

According to Sky Germany, Bayern is currently focused on extending Dayot Upamecano’s contract, which is set to expire this summer.

The club will review their options for centre-backs after these negotiations. Bayern also has Jonathan Tah, Kim Min-jae, and Hiroki Ito as established centre-back choices.
