Inter Miami’s quest for a second Leagues Cup title ended on August 31, when the team lost 3-0 to the Seattle Sounders in the final. Shortly after this defeat, the club announced midfielder Benjamin Cremaschi would be leaving to play in Italy.

Inter Miami confirmed that the 20-year-old will join Parma Calcio 1913 on loan until June 2026. Parma also has the option to permanently sign Cremaschi, depending on his performance in Italy.

Cremaschi has been with Inter Miami since its youth academy and is the fifth homegrown player to join the senior team. Since making his debut in February 2023, he has played in 107 matches in total, scoring eight goals and providing nine assists. He contributed significantly to Miami’s victories in the 2023 Leagues Cup and the 2024 Supporters’ Shield.

However, with new high-profile players joining the squad, Cremaschi found his playing time reduced and became less of a regular starter. Seeking more opportunities to play, the young midfielder is now headed to Parma.

Cremaschi’s farewell message

After spending six years with Inter Miami, Cremaschi posted a farewell message on Instagram, expressing gratitude to fans, teammates, and staff for their support.

“After six years at Inter Miami, it’s time to move forward in my professional career. This club helped me grow from the academy to the first team, shaping me as a player and person. I appreciate the support from the fans, coaches, teammates, staff, and especially the Mas and Beckham families,” he wrote.

“I leave knowing I gave my all every day and fulfilled my role. Now, it’s time to take on new challenges and continue to grow. Inter Miami will always be part of my story. Thank you for these unforgettable years,” he added.
