Bologna has had a challenging time recently.
Their 3-2 victory over Hellas Verona yesterday broke a run of seven games without a win.
From November 22nd to yesterday, they had three draws and four losses.
This stretch followed a successful period where they won six times and drew four, including a notable 2-0 win against defending champions Napoli.
Currently, Bologna is in eighth place. Their upcoming match against 18th-place Fiorentina is a chance to gain some momentum in Serie A.
They have also strengthened their squad with a new signing.
Bologna announced the acquisition of Norwegian centre-back Eivind Helland on their official website.
Helland comes from SK Brann, where he made 64 first-team appearances.
He is the second Norwegian to play for Bologna and is recognized for his physicality and ball-handling skills.
Helland received his first cap for the Norway national team in October, marking a significant step in his career by joining Serie A.
This move should not exclude the possibility of future interest in Helland from larger clubs, given the stature of both teams.
The announcement comes just six months after United sent scouts to watch him play.
Despite finishing 15th in the Premier League last season without European football, they successfully attracted players like Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbuemo, and Benjamin Sesko this summer.
Even amidst challenges this season, they continue to be linked with promising talents, including Elliot Anderson, who is also being pursued by Manchester City.
