Borussia Dortmund is interested in re-signing Jadon Sancho this summer.
Sancho will be a free agent when his contract with Manchester United ends after this season. He has spent the last two-and-a-half years on loan, with spells at Dortmund, Chelsea, and Aston Villa, following a challenging time at Old Trafford.
Fabrizio Romano mentioned that the 25-year-old will evaluate all offers in the summer, with Dortmund expected to make a proposal. The club aims to bring Sancho back to The Westfalenstadion for a third time, given his prior success in the Bundesliga.
During his two spells at Dortmund, Sancho contributed to 120 goals and assists in 153 matches and was named in the Bundesliga Team of the Season twice before his £73m move to Manchester United in 2021. After rejoining on loan for the 2023-24 season, he played a key role in leading the team to the Champions League final.
A potential issue could be Sancho’s salary, as he earned over £250,000 a week at Manchester United. He will likely need to accept a lower wage to facilitate a return to Dortmund.
