It’s an important day for South African football. Bafana Bafana are two matches away from reaching the FIFA 2026 World Cup.

The first match is against Zimbabwe on Friday, 10 October, at Moses Mabhida Stadium at 19:00. The next game is on Tuesday, 14 October, at Mbombela Stadium at 18:00.

Friday’s match is crucial as it could determine their chances of qualification. Coach Hugo Broos has emphasized its significance.

“This game is one of the most important in the last 24 or 25 years. If we win, we have a good chance to qualify. If we lose, our dreams may end,”

“It’s very important, but it will be tough. Zimbabwe has always been a challenging opponent,” the Belgian coach stated.
