Bruno Fernandes Responds to Aston Villa Fans with a Witty Comeback

Manchester United‘s match at Villa Park didn’t go as Ruben Amorim had hoped, particularly for Bruno Fernandes.

The Portugal international has been crucial for Amorim, consistently stepping up as the club captain.

Last season, Fernandes was the top scorer and led in assists, each with 19, helping to keep the team out of the relegation zone.

This season, even after moving back to central midfield, he remains important, with five goals and seven assists in 17 Premier League games.

However, he is now facing a significant time on the sidelines when the team needs him most.

The club captain suffered a right leg injury just before half-time against Aston Villa and was substituted off at the break.

According to The Sun, while sitting on the bench during the second half, the 31-year-old responded to Villa fans who were hurling abuse at him.

After enduring their insults for some time, Fernandes stood up and directly addressed one upset Villa fan, silencing them with a couple of remarks.

Demonstrating his confidence off the pitch, Bruno Fernandes said, “You sing more for me than for your team. Don’t be angry because I always score against you.”

Sadly for Fernandes, he will be out for about a month due to a soft-tissue injury.

This news comes as United is already facing absences, with Amad Diallo, Bryan Mbeumo, and Noussair Mazraoui participating in the Africa Cup of Nations.
