Bruno Fernandes has responded to claims that he’s the Premier League’s most irritating player, suggesting instead that a Manchester City player holds that title.

Since joining Manchester United, Fernandes has faced mixed opinions from fans and analysts. Despite being named Player of the Year four times, discussions have arisen this season about whether the club should consider transferring him.

These discussions focus less on his performances and more on how manager Ruben Amorim has positioned him. Fernandes tends to perform better when playing higher up the pitch, but he often finds himself in a deeper role.

In a recent interview, Fernandes opened up about his current situation at United and addressed rumors regarding a potential summer exit.

The United captain also talked about how he is viewed on the pitch across England.

Fernandes’ role as captain has sparked debate since he took on the position.

His commitment to the club is clear, but he differs from previous captains like Roy Keane, which has drawn some criticism.

Fernandes recognizes that his gestures of frustration on the pitch are often frowned upon in English football.

However, he rejected the label of being the league’s most annoying player, instead pointing to Bernardo Silva of Manchester City and Portugal as a more fitting candidate.

In an interview with Canal 11, Fernandes said, “People see me as someone who’s always complaining, but Bernardo Silva is more annoying than I am! He’s politically correct, and I’m not! My issue is talking with my arms.”

The two will play together again for Portugal in the upcoming World Cup in Mexico and Canada.

Bruno Fernandes leads Europe in chance creation

Despite not always receiving the recognition he deserves at United, the 31-year-old is having a strong season.

According to Statman Dave, Fernandes has created 50 chances, more than any player in Europe’s top five leagues this season. This statistic highlights his effectiveness as a playmaker, regardless of his position on the field.
