Manchester United is set for a significant boost ahead of the Manchester Derby next weekend as Bryan Mbeumo returns to the squad.

The team is currently focused on their FA Cup match against Brighton on Sunday before facing Manchester City next weekend.

United has had to manage without Mbeumo for the past few weeks, relying on Patrick Dorgu as a right-winger.

Mbeumo has been with the Cameroon national team since December 15, participating in the Africa Cup of Nations, but his time there was brief.

After a 2-0 defeat to Morocco in the AFCON Quarter-Finals, Mbeumo is heading back to Carrington.

In addition to Mbeumo’s return, United will also benefit from a new manager.

The club is looking to appoint a caretaker manager to prepare for the Manchester Derby.

It seems that either Ole Gunnar Solskjaer or Michael Carrick will take on the role until a permanent manager is appointed at the end of the season.

Mbeumo will be returning to a different Carrington, as he will need to adjust to a new system away from Amorim’s 3-4-3 formation.
