Italy is looking forward to the World Cup.
Details: Gianluigi Buffon, the 47-year-old former Italian goalkeeper, expressed his belief in Italy’s national team and stated that they are close to qualifying for the 2026 World Cup:
“There’s a 90% chance we’ll reach the play-offs. In the upcoming matches, we need to display the strengths we’ve shown recently. Fans and the media need to trust us—we must commit to football,” Buffon said.
Currently, Italy is in second place in Group I with 9 points. Norway leads the group, with Israel closely following in third place, also with 9 points, while Estonia and Moldova fill the remaining spots.
Italy’s next match will be away against Estonia on October 11, followed by a home match against Israel on October 14.
