CAF Awards 2025: Nominees for Young African Player of the Year Announced

The list of ten nominees for the Young African Player of the Year award at the 2025 CAF Awards has been announced. The Confederation of African Football released this list, showcasing several talented players from the continent.

Morocco features prominently, with young 16-year-old Abdellah Ouazane, who plays for the Ajax U21s, among the nominees. Houssam Essadak and Othmane Maamma are also included in the list.

Nigeria is represented by Daniel Bameyi, the captain of the Nigerian U20s, known for his impressive maturity. Sierra Leone’s Momoh Kamara also stands out with his remarkable journey.
