Remo Stars coach Thiago Conde has emphasized his team’s determination to stage a comeback in the second leg of their CAF Champions League preliminary match against Mamelodi Sundowns. The Portuguese coach made this statement in Abeokuta after his team lost 5-1 at home in the first leg. He believes that the game is not over yet, and anything can happen in football.

“We will analyze what went wrong, both as individuals and as a team, fix those mistakes, and create a plan for the next match. A four-goal deficit is tough, but not impossible,” Conde stated.
“Regarding our strategy, we can’t say the players executed their roles effectively. These matches can be tricky since small errors can alter everything.
“If we address the mistakes, we can achieve a different outcome. This is common in football, and we must put in the effort and have faith.”

The NPFL champions are set to travel to Loftus Versfeld Stadium in Pretoria on Sunday, October 26, for the second leg. They need to win 5-0 to advance to the group stage of the Champions League.
