Carlo Ancelotti Reveals Details on Vinicius Jr and Xabi Alonso’s Disagreement

Carlo Ancelotti has revealed his squad of 26 players for the upcoming friendlies against Senegal and Tunisia. Notably, Neymar (33 years old), who has just recovered from injury, is not included in the list. “I haven’t spoken to Neymar again. We will see when he can recover and play,” the Italian coach stated.

“We have a very good relationship with Vinicius, just like we do with all the players. So, when something happens, we communicate and ask for clarification. We talked with Vinicius. He acknowledged his mistake and seems to have apologized. I believe the issue is resolved. Vinicius is a crucial player for us, someone who can help a lot, and we value him greatly. I think there are no problems here or at the club. I’m neither his father nor his brother; I just want to be his coach. His personal life is his own,” Ancelotti mentioned in a press conference. These comments were echoed by Xabi Alonso, who was also present at a press conference in Anfield before facing Liverpool: “For me, it was important to discuss this on Friday; it’s well resolved. Such things can happen, and we don’t want them to happen again. It’s settled.”
