On May 13, 2025, the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) proudly announced Carlo Ancelotti as the new head coach of the national team, known as the Seleção. The 66-year-old Italian has since managed eight matches for the Canarinha as he aims to secure the sixth World Cup title during the 2026 tournament.
However, those who believed Ancelotti was only there to help Brazil win the World Cup, set to take place in the USA, Canada, and Mexico, were mistaken. AS reports that Ancelotti is expected to sign an extension soon. With this new agreement, he will be tied to CBF until 2030 and will become the highest-paid coach in the world, currently earning around €840,000 per month.
