Michael Carrick believes Benjamin Sesko can become an important player for Manchester United after his winning goal against Everton.
The Slovenia international came off the bench to score the only goal in the match at Hill Dickinson Stadium on Monday night, helping the Red Devils climb back into the top four of the Premier League.
Sesko faced challenges at Old Trafford after his £74 million move from RB Leipzig. He took nine games to score his first goal but has now netted six times in his last eight matches.

Despite his recent goal-scoring success, Sesko has not started any of the last five matches for Manchester United. Carrick emphasizes the need for patience as Sesko continues to develop as a player, expressing confidence in his future contributions.
“He’s in a good place at the moment,” Carrick told Sky Sports after the match. “We’ve had some really good discussions about this. Patience is important for him as he develops here.
“He understands that. I’m sure he will be a significant player for us for a long time. We need to manage this process. We have several top forwards, and he has made a notable impact when on the field.”
