Manchester United manager Michael Carrick expressed pride in his team’s determination after their comeback victory against Crystal Palace.

United came from behind to win 2-1 at Old Trafford and moved up to third in the Premier League standings. After a rocky start, the team fell behind to a header from Maxence Lacroix, but the game shifted in the second half when Lacroix was shown a red card.

Lacroix was dismissed for a foul on Matheus Cunha that denied a scoring opportunity, allowing United to capitalize on having an extra player. Bruno Fernandes converted the penalty awarded for the foul, and later, Benjamin Sesko scored the winning goal with a header.

In an interview with BBC Match of the Day, Carrick expressed satisfaction with how his players responded, noting they remain unbeaten in his seven games as interim manager.

“I’m pleased with the win and how we bounced back after a slow start. Credit to Palace; they began the game very well. We showed belief and character, finishing the first half strongly. Overcoming an early goal against us was a new challenge, but we met it.”
