Real Madrid maintained their strong performance this season with a 2-0 victory over Espanyol. This match was important for Dani Carvajal, who now has a good chance to stay in the starting lineup due to Trent Alexander-Arnold’s injury.
In an interview with Marca, Carvajal stated he was pleased with both the result and the team’s overall performance. He also took time to apologize for his red card in the last Champions League game against Marseille.
“I want to apologize for what happened in the Champions League. It was not appropriate for a match of that importance and for me personally. It won’t happen again. I’m thankful to the team for their effort, and we achieved the win.”

With Alexander-Arnold out for at least six weeks, Carvajal is set to play a crucial role on the right side of Real Madrid’s defense. However, he will miss upcoming matches in the Champions League due to his suspension.
