A young talent from South Africa is heading to Belgium to continue his career.
Details: Today, Kortrijk announced that they have signed 24-year-old forward Cassius Mailula from Toronto.
The agreement is a one-season loan, and Kortrijk has the option to buy Mailula’s contract at the end of the term, but this is not required.
Mailula joined Toronto in 2023 from Mamelodi Sundowns for €1.5 million.
Last season, he was loaned to Moroccan club Wydad, playing 36 matches, where he scored 6 goals and made 7 assists.
As per Transfermarkt, his current market value is around €1 million.
