Celtic will face Aberdeen at Celtic Park this Sunday in the Scottish Premiership.
The team aims to gain some positive momentum under their new manager, Wilfried Nancy.
Celtic is currently in second place in the Scottish Premiership with 32 points from 16 matches, trailing nine points behind leaders Hearts.
Since taking over in late November, Nancy has seen his team struggle, suffering four consecutive losses. This includes a 2-1 defeat at home to Hearts, a 3-0 loss to Roma in the Europa League, a surprising 3-1 defeat in the Scottish League Cup final against St Mirren, and a 1-2 loss away to Dundee United.
Nancy’s early time at Celtic has been tough as he looks for his first win. Ongoing injury problems have complicated his plans, particularly with Kelechi Iheanacho suffering a new hamstring injury in the League Cup final.
Alistair Johnston and Callum Osmand both need hamstring surgeries and will be out for a while, with Marcelo Saracchi also facing a similar issue.
Cameron Carter-Vickers is sidelined with an Achilles injury, as is Jota. Despite the injuries, Nancy remains committed to his approach.
Moreover, Sebastian Tounekti and Michel-Ange Balikwisha are unavailable due to their commitments at the Africa Cup of Nations.
Possible Celtic starting XI: Schmeichel; Ralston, Trusty, Scales; Nygren, McGregor, Engels, Tierney; Forrest, Kenny, Maeda
The match will start at 3pm BST on Sunday, 21st December.
