CF Montreal heads to New England to take on the Revolution in search of their second win of the season.

Currently, Montreal (1-4-0, 3 points) has lost their last two matches following a 3-0 victory against the New York Red Bulls on March 8.

Midfielder Olger Escobar mentioned, “I think luck hasn’t been on our side. We’ve had a couple of games where we played better and deserved to win, but unfortunately, things didn’t go our way.”

German forward Prince Owusu is Montreal’s top scorer with four goals in five games, while Wiki Carmona has been involved in five goals (three goals, two assists).

Last season, Montreal and New England each won one match away from home.

New England (1-3-0, 3 points) is starting a three-match homestand and has a solid home record against Montreal at 9-6-2.

The Revolution recognizes that Montreal’s performance does not reflect their current standing.

Revolution coach Marko Mitrovic commented on Montreal’s defensive style, noting, “They present a unique challenge in how they defend, which we need to prepare for.”

“I expect a long game—90 minutes—requiring us to stay highly focused,” he added.

Defender Brayan Ceballos leads New England with two goals this season.

New England aims to maintain their home unbeaten streak, having won their previous home match 6-1 against FC Cincinnati on March 15.
