Significant changes are ahead for the broadcast of the Champions League in France. According to the newspaper L’Equipe, the final of Europe’s most prestigious cup will return to TF1 starting in spring 2028. The channel has secured the rights until 2031.
Currently, M6 holds the broadcasting rights until 2027, meaning two finals will still be aired on M6. To regain the rights, TF1 is set to pay just under €2 million for the match. The Champions League final will also be shown on Canal+, which has acquired all rights for the three European cups on a pay-TV basis.
