Last week, the New York Red Bulls nearly ended up scoreless until a last-minute goal saved the game.

Charlotte FC, on the other hand, struggled to score and finished their match against Inter Miami CF without a goal.

Both teams will look to enhance their offense this Saturday night in Charlotte.

The Red Bulls (2-1-1, 7 points) were close to losing their match against Toronto FC but managed to tie it 1-1 in stoppage time, thanks to a goal from Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting, who came on as a substitute.

Red Bulls coach Michael Bradley stated on Thursday, “Going to Toronto for their home opener and pushing the game the way we did was important. It wasn’t easy, but we kept going until the end.”

The late goal came after a scramble during a match where the Red Bulls took 18 shots and held possession 63.6% of the time.

Bradley added, “We’re excited and proud of our effort. In some ways, we might have deserved more than just a point, but that’s football.”

Charlotte FC (1-1-2, 5 points) has scored four goals this season, with three of them coming in a previous win against Austin FC. Last week, Charlotte had 11 shot attempts but failed to score for the second time while Inter Miami rested key players.

The team has struggled recently, going 1-3-3 in their last seven matches after entering the playoffs with a strong 12-3-1 record over 16 games.

Charlotte coach Dean Smith mentioned, “They have a known system and style of play. We know what to expect and need to be prepared.”
