Manchester City have advanced to the quarter-finals of the English League Cup. They defeated the Championship team Swansea City by a score of 3-1. City made a comeback after falling behind to a goal from Gonçalo Franco in the 12th minute. Jérémy Doku scored the equalising goal for them in the 39th minute from a pass by Aït-Nouri. In the second half, Omar Marmoush scored in the 77th minute, and Rayan Cherki added another in the 93rd minute to secure the victory.
Meanwhile, Chelsea also moved into the quarter-finals after beating Wolves 4-3 in a seven-goal match. Chelsea took a three-goal lead in the first half with goals from Andrey Santos, Tyrique George, and Estêvão. However, Wolves fought back in the second half, with Tolu and David Wolfe scoring two goals. Chelsea were then reduced to 10 players in the 86th minute when Liam Delap was sent off after receiving a second yellow card. Despite being a player down, Jamie Gittens scored in the 89th minute to solidify Chelsea’s lead. Wolves scored one more goal through David in the 91st minute, but it was not enough to prevent defeat.
