This choice was made during the off-season, and he has stuck to it. Neither player found a new club during the summer transfer window, so they are likely to go through the autumn and winter without playing.

Last season, Axel Disasi played 27 games for Chelsea, scoring two goals and providing two assists. His contract is valid until June 2029. Sterling, on the other hand, appeared in 28 matches, scoring once and assisting five times. His contract runs until the summer of 2027.
