Liam Rosenior acknowledged the fans’ frustration following Chelsea’s exit from the Champions League against Paris Saint-Germain.

Chelsea suffered a significant defeat over two legs, losing 8-2 on aggregate, marking a tough exit from the last-16 round. They lost 5-2 in the first match in Paris, and the atmosphere at Stamford Bridge changed when Khvicha Kvaratskhelia scored for PSG just six minutes into the second leg.

Additional goals from Bradley Barcola and Senny Mayulu allowed PSG to move on to the quarter-finals, leaving the home fans visibly upset at the end.

In response to the defeat, Rosenior said it’s understandable for Chelsea fans to expect quick results.

“We want to avoid more nights like this,” he stated. “This is a great football club, and the fans deserve success, which is right given the club’s stature.

“I understand their frustration because of the final score in the tie. They want victories, and I completely appreciate that. I also want to please them and provide the exciting nights they deserve, not just as an individual but as a team.

“This one was particularly tough to accept due to how we lost tonight.”
