Chelsea is thinking about letting Liam Delap leave the club this summer after a disappointing first season.
Delap joined Chelsea from Ipswich Town, who were recently relegated, for £30 million last summer. The 23-year-old scored 12 league goals for Ipswich last season but has only managed one goal in 17 Premier League matches for Chelsea.
He has started in just nine of those matches, with Joao Pedro often preferred by both Liam Rosenior and former manager Enzo Maresca.
Injuries have affected his first season, and Chelsea is now reviewing his future. While a loan for next season seems likely, permanent offers might also be considered.
Manchester United, who showed interest in Delap last summer, are still looking at him as they seek competition for Benjamin Sesko.
Newcastle United also showed interest previously and may look to sign a striker this summer with uncertainty around Nick Woltemade. Everton, Brighton, and Sunderland are also monitoring the situation.
