Chelsea Executive Affirms No Fear Ahead of PSG Match

Chelsea’s upcoming Champions League match against Paris Saint-Germain is not a cause for concern, says director of football David Barnard.

Liam Rosenior’s team will face PSG, the defending champions, in the Round of 16 after the draw on Friday. PSG won the Champions League for the first time last season, defeating Inter Milan 5-0 in the final.

This season, however, they have not looked as strong and needed a playoff win over Monaco to advance to the last 16.

Chelsea also managed to beat PSG 3-0 during the Club World Cup final this summer in the USA.

Barnard is confident that Chelsea is ready for this challenge. “We’ve faced PSG several times,” he said regarding the draw. “They are the current champions, but our win this summer will be in people’s minds. It will be difficult, but we are not afraid. You can analyze the matches, but we must stay grounded.”
