It was brutal.

More than three months have passed since the Conference League final in Wroclaw, Poland, where Chelsea defeated Real Betis. Videos showing harsh treatment by local police towards Chelsea supporters have circulated widely, leading to calls for action.

Details: A report from the Football Supporters’ Association states that at 4:00 p.m. on matchday, Chelsea fans were contained by local authorities in a bar close to Wroclaw’s main square. While disturbances occurred in other areas, Chelsea supporters were not involved and had to wait for a lengthy discussion with an English-speaking officer before being allowed to leave.

Once they were finally permitted to exit, fans were arrested and had their hands zip-tied by “masked” police officers. They were taken to police stations without explanation. After their arrest, they spent hours in police vans that lacked ventilation, food, or water. The supporters are calling for a response from football authorities, which has not yet been provided, even three months after the match.
