A comical situation.
New players often make memorable statements when joining a club. Some claim they’ve been fans for years, even if they just left their rivals. This time, Chelsea‘s new player, Facundo Buonanotte, found himself in a funny situation.
Details: The Argentine midfielder, who is on loan from Brighton, expressed excitement about joining Chelsea, especially since it was his first chance to play in the Champions League.
However, Buonanotte was surprised to discover that his name was not on Chelsea’s squad list for the Champions League.
For the record: Chelsea acquired Buonanotte on the last day of the transfer window for €2.5 million. It’s not clear if the club has the option or obligation to buy him later.
On the same day, Chelsea also loaned Nicolas Jackson to Bayern Munich for a year.
