Federico Chiesa Turns Down Italy Call-Up: Gattuso Sheds Light on the Decision

Italy’s head coach Gennaro Gattuso has provided an update on Federico Chiesa’s situation.

Details: As Italy gears up for upcoming matches, Gattuso, 47, mentioned that he frequently communicates with the 27-year-old winger from Liverpool:

“The matter with Chiesa is straightforward. I engage with my players regularly, and I want to emphasize that.
He does not feel at 100% right now and aims to get back to full fitness, which is the reality,” Gattuso said.

So far this season, Chiesa has played in 6 matches for Liverpool and scored 2 goals.

Italy’s next game is on October 11 against Estonia, followed by a home match with Israel on October 14.
