Christian Eriksen is among the former Manchester United players still actively playing professional football.

Eriksen played for Manchester United from 2022 to 2025, appearing in 107 matches and scoring eight goals.

During the 2024-25 season, he played under Ruben Amorim, making 35 appearances while Erik Ten Hag and Amorim managed the team.

Despite his contributions, Eriksen was released alongside nine other players in the summer.

After leaving the club, he joined Wolfsburg and has since made 13 appearances, providing three assists but not scoring any goals.

Recently, he discussed his experience with the media, criticizing Amorim.

In an interview with the Sunday Times, Eriksen responded to Amorim’s remarks about players, saying, “That didn’t help. Yeah, that didn’t help at all. I mean, that was not… I don’t think that helped the players at all.”

He added, “Some things you can say privately, and it’s not wise to say them publicly. It adds pressure on players who are already trying their best.”

Eriksen further remarked, “I don’t think that helped at all. If he’s right or wrong doesn’t matter, but we felt like, ‘Oh, here we go again. Another headline.’”

He noted, “He came in with his ideas and tried to implement changes. Certain players and styles are part of his vision for success, but it required a significant shift since players were not used to that system.”

He also pointed out that Manchester United historically favored a different approach. “He’s been very honest with me from the start. Extremely honest, I would say.”

The focus now may shift to the Manchester United manager to see how he responds to these comments.
