Christophe Dugarry is not a fan of Roberto De Zerbi. The 1998 World Cup champion criticized the Olympique de Marseille coach again, even after the team’s 3-0 victory against Brest on Saturday during the 12th round of Ligue 1. The former Marseille player (1997-2000) expressed his boredom with the team’s performances.
“I don’t understand what ‘prioritize’ means. You have the chance to play in the Champions League, you play it until the end. It’s a spectacle, a match that supporters have been waiting for since last season, as well as the players. And even if you get knocked out, there’s still one match left to win when you have nothing to hope for; you play it hard. There’s a strong enough squad to keep playing every three days. I can’t understand this reasoning. I’m shocked by everything I hear. RDZ’s explanation is, ‘if my team is playing poorly, it’s because they’ve been looking too much at social media.’ I’m tired of OM. They’re treating us like fools. Watching them play is boring; it’s deadly,” he remarked on RMC this Monday.
