Tottenham aims to secure three points against Nottingham Forest on Sunday.

Tottenham seems to have found their pace again after winning consecutive matches in all competitions for the first time since September. They narrowly defeated Brentford at home in the Premier League last weekend, and followed it with a solid performance against Slavia Prague in the Champions League, keeping their perfect home record in the tournament.

Fans are cautious, having seen their team lose momentum in previous promising stretches. The focus for Spurs now is to build on this form as they head to the City Ground to take on a determined Nottingham Forest side in the Premier League.

Similarly, Nottingham Forest, managed by Sean Dyche, was also in European action midweek, playing against FC Utrecht in the Netherlands. They secured a 2-1 victory, highlighted by a late goal from Igor Jesus. Forest will aim to maintain this momentum in their match against Tottenham this weekend.

Can Tottenham finally beat Nottingham Forest?

Tottenham supporters are hoping for a breakthrough, as their team looks to overcome Nottingham Forest for the first time this season. Last year, Forest achieved a league double over Spurs, which contributed to their successful campaign under Nuno Espirito Santo. This time, Tottenham needs to reverse the trend against a struggling Forest side.

Chris Sutton weighs in, noting both teams’ unpredictability in the Premier League, suggesting that a draw might be a likely outcome. In his BBC column, he shared his anticipation for a closely contested match:

“Forest aims to excel in Europe, but if you ask Dyche, his priority must be to climb the table. As for Tottenham, I’m uncertain about their consistency. Although they have back-to-back wins, it doesn’t guarantee they’ve turned a corner.”

Sutton elaborated further, stating:

“The outcome may depend on Dyche’s squad choice against Utrecht. If he prioritizes Tottenham, it could result in a very tight game. I’ve predicted several draws this week, and I feel this could end 1-1.”

Sutton believes Dyche’s main aim is securing Premier League safety, despite their European commitments. With Tottenham’s unpredictability, the match could be tightly contested at the City Ground, and Sutton foresees both teams dropping points, predicting a draw.

The match against Forest is crucial for Tottenham as they strive for European qualification this season. Currently occupying a spot in the lower half of the Premier League table, a strong performance is essential to regain fan support. Failing to secure three points would be a significant letdown and could heighten the pressure on the management.

Will Spurs manage to secure a win against Sean Dyche’s team on Sunday, or will they miss another chance to advance in the Premier League? Only time will tell.
