Cole Palmer has made history in the Premier League by scoring a hat-trick against Wolves at Molineux on Saturday.
The player scored two penalties and added a third goal from open play, marking his comeback after dealing with injuries for several months.
Tolu Arokodare scored for Wolves after halftime, but it was just a consolation goal as Chelsea secured a 3-1 victory, making it the 19th Premier League loss for Wanderers this season.
Palmer Achieves Premier League Hat-Trick Milestone
Palmer has a knack for scoring quickly, with three of his four hat-tricks for Chelsea happening in the first half.
This achievement makes him the first player in Premier League history to score three first-half hat-tricks, a remarkable record to hold.
Earlier, he netted three goals in the first half against Everton in April 2024 and against Brighton in September 2024, where he also set the record for scoring four goals in the first half of a Premier League match.
Liam Rosenior praised Palmer after the match, saying on BBC Match of the Day: “Cole loves playing football. I love watching him. When the team is focused and in the right mindset, they perform outstandingly. Cole is definitely someone we want on the field more frequently. We hope he can stay fit moving forward.”
